Is There No Rule For Public Figures In India's Lockdown?

Dear audience,

In India, rules & regulations are only for poor and helpless people. Powerful individuals and public celebrities consider themselves above the law & expect VIP treatment at all times. Even the law enforcement agencies are busy licking the boot of public figures rather than doing their duty. Let's see some examples of it.

To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Modi government is constantly appealing to people to follow lockdown, social distancing, quarantine rules. But, union medicine minister Sadanand Gowda ignored these rules on the very first day of the commencement of domestic flights across the country. He reached Bangalore from Delhi via plane but did not follow the Institutional and Home Quarantine Guidelines set by the Government of Karnataka for passengers coming by aircraft.

When Gonda asked why he was not following the established rules, he said he is a minister. He is in charge of the ministry of medicine. If the supply of medicines and other things is not right, then how will the doctors be able to treat the patients, then it will not be a failure of the government? He said that it is my responsibility to supply medicines in every corner of the country. Furthermore, he asserted that guidelines are for all citizens. But, for some people, who hold positions of special responsibility, some exemption has been provided.

A few days ago, Tejashwi Yadav, the younger son of Laloo Yadav, returned to Patna from New Delhi during the lockdown period & he did not go to the mandatory 21 days quarantine period. Instead, he went straight to his mother's house without going through any medical test. Surprisingly, nobody in Indian media covered this.

In India, It is very difficult for the government & law enforcement agencies to keep people in the discipline. Indian folks spit here and there every time, throw garbage at public places, always look for expensive goods & services free of charge, and behave irresponsibly every now & then. They think that it's a government duty to keep everything under control.

In the same way, Kanika Kapoor, a high profile singer, escaped from quarantine, participated in several parties, tested positive for coronavirus infection, and was treated and recovered from it successfully. She did not face tough questioning from the law enforcement agencies in India for her irresponsible act. Legal action is initiated against her for media bite.

So, it's clear that there are no rules & regulations for powerful elite and celebrities in India. They can play with the rules & remain unpunished.
